The Brownsville Heritage Museum offers a glimpse into the past and a look at the culture of this border town. A gallery featuring historic photographs and items is located onsite. A variety of exhibits is offered throughout the year. The Brownsville Heritage Museum also hosts numerous presentations, musical performances, and book signings throughout the year.
Stillman House Museum
The Stillman House is one of the oldest surviving structures in Brownsville. The house is located in downtown Brownsville, TX on Washington Street. A good presentation of the border and how it's changed (not geographically) over the years. In the house you are able to see five rooms and in one of the rooms you are able to learn more about the history of Stillman. It's really cool to learn about the history of Brownsville, Tx and how it became about.

The cost of admission to an adult is $5.00 and includes the Heritage Museum, the Stillman House Museum, and on-going exhibitions in both locations. The Complex is open to the public Tuesday through Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
