Mi Pueblito Restaurant
Mi Pueblito Restaurant is a great little restaurant in Brownsville, TX. As you first walk into the restaurant you will get a feeling that you are in Mexico. Probably because of the "corridos" being played as background music haha. Mi Pueblito does really have a lot of cool paintings and artwork around the restaurant to give it a great ambiance feel. I must confess I left with a full stomach. My plate was quite delicious and filling. Also before they serve you your dish they hit you with chips and three types of salsas. I could of just been full on that alone. They have quite of few options in their menu, but I decided to eat a dish with "nopales" which they brought to me in a steamy skillet. As a matter of fact, as I looked around a lot of the people that were eating had some kind of skillets at their table. Which is pretty awesome because it would be hard for your food to get cold.
Food was good and their presentation was great. Mi Pueblito boasts that they have an extensive list of domestic and imported wines, including famous stock of more than 200 tequilas. Their night life ends around 11:00 p.m on the weekends. The one thing I have to critique is their website which is quite confusing. I know it may seem a bit pricey, but I believe their prices are in pesos and not dollars. You can check out their menu and extensive list of beverages at their website (www.mi-pueblito.com).
